Kerry, the Principal of Newcomb Theatre Arts, is a very passionate dancer, teacher and choreographer. She has spent the last 13 years training students to a very high standard, many of which went on to train at the top colleges in the country, to become professional dancers/performers. This is something she continues to strive for and if a student has a passion to perform Kerry will do everything she can to help them achieve their dreams.
After training at Deborah Capon in Whitstable for all of her younger years, she went on to successfully complete a Diploma in Dance and Musical Theatre at Laine Theatre Arts. Whilst at college Kerry starred in many shows, including, Fosse, Scrooge, Bye Bye Birdie, My Fair Lady and three annual shows. Kerry also toured as a featured dancer in The Michael Jackson Experience, traveling across the country and to Holland. She got the taste for performing as a child competing in festivals and also major competitions gaining First at All England for National Dance, First at The Janet Cram Awards for Modern and Second at the Marjorie Davies Star Tap Awards.
In recent years Kerry has choreographed many shows, including Oliver at the Winter Gardens and several Pantomimes across the country, working with stars such as Barry Humphries (Dame Edna), Stephen Mulhern, Anita Dobson, Mr. Bloom (CBeebies) and Sherrie Hewson, to name a few.
